Iran has also made a move to include digital assets into its foreign currency exchange regulations as well as its anti-currency smuggling enforcement efforts.

Thanks to this, crypto platforms that have been licensed by the central bank of the nation under the purview of existing regulatory strategies for foreign exchange currencies, especially during times of extreme capital outflows due to the pandemic brought on by COVID-19.

There aren’t many details of this released to the public as of yet in the guards to Irans national cryptocurrency mining strategy. However, Iran has already issued around 1000 licenses to crypto miners around the country and even gave the green light to the Turkish crypto mining company, iMiner. This was in order to establish a 6000 rig facility earlier this month.

The President of the country has even supported creating an alternative currency and potentially it could be digital. This would help loosen the harsh power that the United States sanctions have of specific nations.
